Trying it free
Levels 1–3, the daily tune, streaks and your first full songs are free forever, and you can play five songs on your own piano before deciding. Learn Piano Pro is a single $9.99 purchase: pay once, no subscription.
Family Sharing
Learn Piano Pro can be shared with up to five family members through Family Sharing. They'll get Pro automatically on their own iPhones, with their own progress.
Playing on a real piano
Turn on Play on a real piano in the app's settings (gear icon), or tap Play on a real piano under the music. A short sound check gets you started. Set your iPhone on the music stand, facing you, and play at your normal volume. Any octave counts, so play wherever the note feels comfortable.
It misses notes, or hears notes I didn't play
In the app's settings under Play on a real piano, choose Catch soft notes if gentle playing isn't heard, or Ignore noise if talking, a TV or other sounds are counted. If other sounds are taken for wrong notes, you can also turn off Mark wrong notes: it then simply waits for the right key. Tap the ? there for more.
Switched to a different piano?
Learn Piano learns your piano's tuning as you play. If you move to another piano, tap Reset next to the tuning in settings, and it relearns within a few notes.
The app can't hear anything
Make sure Learn Piano is allowed to use the microphone: open the iPhone Settings app → Privacy & Security → Microphone. Listening pauses during calls and resumes on its own afterwards.
No sound?
Learn Piano follows your iPhone's Silent Mode. Turn Silent Mode off with the switch or Action button on the side of your iPhone (or in Control Center), and turn up the volume.
Restore a purchase
Open Learn Piano, tap the gear icon, then Restore purchases. Make sure you're signed in with the same Apple ID you bought with.
Subscribed to the earlier yearly plan?
Pro keeps working at least until the end of the year you paid for. To cancel it, open the iPhone Settings app → your name → Subscriptions → Learn Piano. Pro is now a one-time purchase, so you can buy that instead whenever you like.
Moving to a new phone
Your progress syncs through iCloud automatically when you're signed in with the same Apple ID. No account is needed.
Daily reminder
Turn it on or change its time in the app's settings (gear icon). If reminders don't arrive, check that notifications are allowed for Learn Piano in the iPhone Settings app.
Refunds
